New Proprietors at the Swan
Jane and David Simmonds are recently arrived proprietors of the Swan Inn.
We are thrilled to be here. We have visited The Swan as customers for 25 years and Jane's family have been visiting The Swan (specifically) and glorious West Sussex (more generally) for decades prior. We are most grateful for the goodwill and best wishes of the people of Fittleworth and beyond.
The Swan is a wonderful, quintessential, English Country Inn. We will ensure the warmth of the welcome here always lives up to the splendour of the surroundings for our drinkers, diners, residents, visitors. Click on "about us" to read more about the Swan's history.
We have some exciting events coming up, including our Feast of Saint George celebration of all things English on the evening of Saturday April 22nd.
The Swan Pub Quiz - monthly, next held on Wednesday April 26th
Do you know your Aristotle from your Democritus? Or, more usefully, your TOWIE from your Benidorm? Then The Swan Inn on a Wednesday is the place for you.
Feast of Saint George, Saturday April 22nd
After the success of the Swan's Burns Night and our Anti-Valentines Mexican night, please join us for the Swan Inn Saint George's Eve dinner on Saturday April 22nd. English culinary classics aplenty, literary offerings in abundance and some Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 (did you know of the close connection between Sir Edward Elgar and the Swan Inn, Fittleworth?)
Acoustic music returns to the Swan Inn Barn, Friday April 21st
Please join us for some skiffle, some classic covers old and new and much else besides from an all-local line-up.
We open for coffee, tea, breakfast at 08:30 and we stay open thereafter. We close at 11pm (10:30pm Sundays)
